| Peeler Drum Center is proud to be
Northwest Ohio's exclusive dealer of Drum Workshop drums! The
Drum Workshop factory is in Oxnard, CA and their drums are ranked
among the finest made and are sought after by drummers around the
world! Probably the most notable design feature that Drum
Workshop drums are know for is that every kit is made of a hand-picked
set of shells that have been "pitched matched" by ear.
Before finishing or assembling, each drumshell is hand "thumped"
to hear it's resonant note, and each set of shells is selected with notes
which produce a "downward scale" from the small toms to the
larger ones. This small attention to detail helps make each tom in
the kit "cooperate" with the others in terms of tuning and
"timbre" (the harmonic sound content of each drum). This
practice can also be applied to the bass drum, to help specify the
frequency range it will sound best in, and in relation to the scale of the
toms. Another feature of Drum Workshop drums is the
availability of exotic wood finishes. Rare, beautiful woods such as
Japanese Tamo Ash, Mapa burl, Cedar, Spider Pine, Zebra Wood, Olive Ash,
Birdseye Maple, Quilted Maple and lots of others are available in their
highest price range of drums. Drum Workshop drums are truly
professional quality drums and they have established their place as an
American legend! |

Shown below is a gallery of photos taken at the Drum
Workshop Factory showroom. It's not often you get to see how
magnificent the more exotic wood finishes are because small color samples
and photos in the catalogs simply can't capture their beauty! |
