Marching Drums by
PEARL
Peeler Drum Center is proud to carry the full
line of Pearl marching drums and percussion. Pearl
manufactures two main lines of marching drums, their best quality "Championship"
series, and their more affordable "Competitor" series.
Championship series drums (snares, tenors and
basses included) all have 6 ply 100% Maple shells. Championship
series drums have been used by many of the worlds leading Drum & Bugle
Corps for years because of their tonal excellence and quality. The
Championship FFX snare drums are renowned for their
exceptional volume and sensitivity as well as their durability and the
precision and smooth action of their snare strainers.
The Competitor series drums (snares, tenors
and basses included) all have 8 ply Mahogany shells. They are an
excellent alternative for the school or Drum Corp that needs good quality
instruments on a smaller budget. |

Pearl also makes "indoor" marching percussion
equipment. Since indoor drum line competitions are usually held in
gymnasiums and other interior spaces that are usually hard and very reflective,
these drums are made shallower and smaller in dimension so that they possess
tonal qualities that are tight, focused and crisp in order to cut through the
reflected background noise and reverberation. Snare drums, Tenors and Bass
Drums are all available in the "Indoor" series, and feature 6 ply 100% Maple
shells just like their full sized counterparts shown above.

| Pearl's affiliation
with the ADAMS percussion company from Holland (makers of fine mallet
keyboards, tympani and chimes) has allowed them to provide innovative and
excellent quality mallet instruments specifically designed for use "on the
field" by marching bands and drum corps. These instruments feature
super heavy duty frames with oversized rubber wheels meant to be rolled over
pavement, gravel and turf without damage. The Marimbas and Xylophones
are also available with weather resistant synthetic bars. |

| The latest innovation in
marching carriers from Pearl are their new "Mag-Vest Tube"
style carriers (below), which feature ultimate adjustability to accommodate
players of all shapes and sizes. No other carrier produced provides
so much adjustability, the most notable feature being the adjustability of
shoulder width. The belly plates are large for maximum distribution
of drum weight, and the carriers are ultra light and have comfortable,
durable "athletic" type foam padding. |
Pearl Magnesium T-Bar marching
carriers are designed in classic "T-Bar" carrier style, but have
ultra comfortable and durable "athletic" type foam padding,
ultra light magnesium construction, and sharp black anodized
appearance. Pearl's standard Aluminum T-bar carriers
are a modestly priced alternative for the school or Drum Corp on a more
limited budget. |

Percussion Specialties |
| In addition to
those which are available as standard equipment on Pearl drums, we
also provide the excellent "XL-lite" line of marching
drum carriers. XL was the originator of the first high
quality light weight aluminum marching drum carriers, and they have
expanded their line to include their new "Aluminum vest"
carriers shown at right. No longer does the school or Drum Corp have
to cope with the bulky, not adjustable nature of fiberglass carriers in
order to benefit from the weight distributing advantages of a
"vest" style carrier. The shoulder braces of these carries
can actually be carefully "bent" into a shape which is
comfortable for the player! Also, the XL's standard Aluminum and
Magnesium "T-bar" style carriers are still the standard of the
industry (in fact, many large drum companies actually have XL make the
carriers they sell with their drums!). |
